Monday was one of those near perfect days. The sky was clear and blue allowing the sun to shine brightly. There was enough of a breeze to clear away the pollution that hangs over the city. The temperature was in the mid seventies. It was one of those days you open the windows and air out the apartment. It was also a good day to do the laundry and get out the mop and clean the floors. It was a good day of cleaning up old emails, adding money to my bus pass, shopping for food for meals, and starting the layout of the next . . . study. Monday night also brought a good night of sleep in preparation for Tuesday.
My devotional reading for Tuesday morning was from chapters 8 – 11 of Matthew. It was a great time and my heart aches to share some thoughts with those who are interested and have time to read. When I walk by the pet shop and see those quite puppies in their cages I better understand their loss of freedom. The cage maybe for the pets’ protection or maybe it is for the protection of others. In either case there is loss of freedom.
