Ready for Roof Truss

Jon and I had a good day on Tuesday and almost finished up installing the sheathing and a few other miscellaneous jobs. We are at the point of installing the roof trusts, but they haven’t arrived yet. We got a phone call informing us that they will arrive Wednesday morning sometime. You will need to check the blog tomorrow to see if they came, what they look like, and learn about any problems we might have installing them. When you have a building on one side, a pool on another side and an area not yet backfilled containing a large window well, you don’t have many options.

The addition as it looked when I left the job late Tuesday afternoon. The picture gives one a good view of the work we are doing. You may have noticed that two of the walls are a foot higher than the others. The main living area will have a nine foot ceiling. The truss over this area will have three walls under them forming two ceiling heights. If these walls are not exactly the right height the truss will not sit right on them. We will soon find out.
