On the Roof

This morning I had some more bracing of truss to do while Jon finished up some sheathing on the gable ends. We then added the soffit to the truss tails on the north side of the garage and added the rakes or some call them the ladders to the ends of the roof to provide the roof extensions needed on the sides.

We built an extension or overhang of twelve inches.

We then put up the first piece and just kind of looked at it while we searched for more energy to go on.

Just four more sheets and one row across the garage roof will be done.

There we have one row done and it is time to quit. Notice how blue the sky is; hot and dry.

I asked Jon to build this apparatus to help us get the sheets onto the roof. We can put sheets in the device and then go up on the roof and pull them up and then carry them to where we are installing them.
