Qianling Mausoleum

On Sunday we went to the Qianling Mausoleum. On each side of the walkway is a row of statues. The hill at one end of the walkway reminds you of a hat resting on the face of a person lying down. The walkway is the neck.

At the other end of the walkway you can easily determine that the person lying down is a woman with the two hills being her two breast and the two tombs the nipples. From the expressway that parallels this walkway the image is very striking.

At the hat end are two tombs. One was for the emperor and the other for China's first woman emperor who was his wife. Both tombs look the same.

Along the walkway are statues.

Again there is so much history here that I don't remember.
