Near the front gate of apartment complex where I used to live, many trees were transplanted along the street. They were planted on April 28, 2008. An example is shown below.
On May 11, 2008 I took another picture to show the new growth just forming.
Let's get closer and see the new life.
As I walked by the tree on my way to the pedestrian walk I stopped for a picture to show the growth about a year later.
I find it is so interesting that they can cut a tree back, both limbs and roots, and it will take off and grow. An example is shown below.
