Lisa Update

As some of you know Lisa had to go back to the hospital for more surgery as excessive stair climbing too soon after her cancer surgery was resulting in a tear near one of her incisions. This surgery had to be done and came during her probation period of a new job she had just started, creating excessive stress for her. On top of that her roommate, who works at the same place she does who is from Russia and is a very beautiful woman and can’t stand Christianity, is having improper relations with their boss. Since the apartment and roommate goes with the job this complicates Lisa’s life. If that wasn’t enough, one night at the hospital someone picked the lock and entered her room and took her laptop and a brand new one belonging to a student who was staying with her. All of this is a great storm that is drawing her focus away from God. This, on top of her bout with cancer and someone forcing her from a very nice teaching job, is causing her to consider her relationship with China.

Lisa really needs our prayers to draw her focus back to God and to have the endurance to continue the trial until God has finished doing the work he wants to do in her life. Too often people give up when the pressure is the greatest and miss the best God has for them. Also pray that the characteristics of God’s love: joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control would become evident in her life, because at the present time they are somewhat lacking and that is affecting, in a negative way, the people she has spent so much time making friends with.

As a side point of interest, Lisa lives about half way up in one of the buildings on the left near the back.

The next picture is a view as seen from her back balcony looking out toward the street.

The next picture is a view looking in the other direction.

Please pray for Lisa as she has a few very hard weeks ahead of her.
