I know you are getting anxious to know about the trip, but I am going to keep you in suspense for one more day so I can finish that day out with Jiajing and her mom.
As we left the park we saw a visitor enjoying the comforts of a park bench.

As we spent time in the park, the temperature pushed up into the nineties, with a real feel of around 105, so we felt it was time to leave. We went back to a shopping area to find some camera shops to get a few small items. From there we went back to the river to catch the next ferry back. The ticket cost about 13 cents.
On the other side we stopped by a street side eating place for a bowl of cold rice soup. From there we went to the road and met Jiajing’s dad who was on lunch break. He drove us to a restaurant and dropped us off and headed back to work. He had already eaten. I thought that bowl of soup was lunch, but it was just an appetizer.

The first dish to arrive was the one in the upper part of the picture. It was lotus root dipped in a batter and cooked in some manner. The second dish to arrive is the one to the left of the picture and is liver, onions, and peppers; a dish I really enjoy and one that is healthy for you. The last to arrive was the fish. We had already taken our first bite out of it before I decided to take a picture. What a joy it was to work together taking the fish off and eating it. When we finished the plates were empty except for some bones from the fish.
Our fish was so much better, at least to look at, than the food in the following pictures.
