No More Deck

The new addition is going to be attached to the old house where the old back entryway with the four windows is located. The addition will extend about halfway over to those three windows near the picnic table. That means the deck is in the way and will have to be taken apart. The new addition will have a new deck under a roof and nearer to the pool.

The first step is to remove the railing or maybe the table and grill, but maybe they were going to grill and have lunch one more time before they remove the floor.

Their youngest child is thinking about all those good meals and family time they had as a family on this deck. Even I have memories of eating here and having some very special spiritual conversations.

All that work and cost to build the deck and now only the frame is left.

And now most of the frame is gone.

There is still work to be done here, but we will get to that later.

P.S. We must not forget that the main water line to the house is under this area and will have to be replaced with a plastic temporary line until a new line can be brought through the new addition.
