Mature Garden

I finished the sidewalk up to the stairs. In the middle of one night I decided to eliminate the bottom concrete stair I had planned on and extend the wood stairs one more step. I will get to that on Wednesday, I think. For now let us take a look at the aging garden.

Those of you with gardens in the north country, this is how your gardens will look about the first of September. You are about a month behind us in the growth cycle. We are still enjoying summer squash, swiss chard, carrots, tomatoes, and now water melons and cantaloupes. The watermelons and cantaloupes are delicious.

The watermelons are the best.

This is a late harvest of cantaloupes. We just finished an earlier harvest.

And there are those giant sunflowers. Texas size!

There are many seeds on that head.
